NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - Desperate to avoid a repeat of the 2005 Katrina catastrophe, residents of New Orleans evacuated their city on Sunday as a new hurricane hailed as ‘the mother of all storms’ threatened the disaster-scarred metropolis.
